Pre-Induction week, the course acts as a short-term apprenticeship in care.
All candidates are required to attend the pre- Induction Week, during training, all trainees are expected to work a minimum number 1-2 hours a day to qualify.
This classroom-based week is designed to give the candidates an understanding of:
- The role of the healthcare professional
- The needs of patients and their families and care planning Safeguarding policy
- The basic skills required to fulfil the role, such as observation skills, manual handling and patient care.
Those successfully passing out from the Induction Week, are awarded the care certificate on completion validated by Careskills online training using the national framework
